The Operanauts project fundraising kicks off with the premiere concert of La Petite Carmen at the Le Meredien Hotel in Philadelphia on July 29th. Details for this ticketed, limited seating event will be available soon at www.Kickstarter.com.

Vocal Music Collaborations - Joy is currently working on a multi-faceted international opera project, as both an "Operanaut" and business director of Operanauts, a newly registered company with Opera America. More here and at InstantEncore.com in late June 2011.
Operanauts partners with NGOs, U.S. corporate sponsors and local country business advertisers. They travel to places that have never heard/seen opera before, in a cultural exchange of mutual respect, with a customized opera singing educational component in master classes, demos, workshops for students at local university students and ESL schools. The primary objective of Operanauts is to seek out musicians in the host country (i.e. orchestra, choirs, composers, etc.) for musical exchanges and to share their music with the nationals their partner NGO is targeted to help.
 First landing will be Kinshasa and Bas-Congo provinces, DR Congo this September 2011 with an adaptation of the opera CARMEN by Bizet, adaptation by Opera Joe, Ltd., for 4 principal singers and pianist traveling with the NGO United Front Against Riverblindess. |
